Mickey is my little dog from Romania and since the beginning of September there has been a mass hysteria in his homeland. Stray dogs are being brutalised and mistreated, they are being caught by unimaginable means and thrown into the death camps which are laughingly called shelters.
The situation is atrocious.
Mickey is my Romanian ambassador in Germany. How could anyone want to mistreat this little man? He spent the beginning of his life on the streets too.
The quote is from Rudyard Kipling, "Just so Stories" and, I think, very apt.
I hope for a better year in 2014.

Mickey is mein kleiner Hund aus Rumänien uns seit Anfange September herrscht eine Massenhysterie in seiner Heimat. Streuner werden mißhandelt und gequält, sie werden brutal eingefangen und in Tötungstationen geworfen. Die Situation ist erbärmlich.
Mickey is mein rumänischer Botschafter in Deutschland. Wie könnte man so einen kleinen Kerl mißhandeln? Er hat auch die erste Zeit seines Lebens auf der Straße verbracht.
Der Zitat ist von Rudyard Kipling, "Genau-so Geschichten" und ich finde es passt sehr gut.
